how is audience sympathy with the police created?

The audience begins to have intense feelings of sympathy towards the police force in the scene when Jake is trying to arrest a woman committing a crime, however he is falsely accused of trying to sexually assault her as she frantically tries to escape her fate. Jake is an inexperienced police officer, and the audience may put themselves in his shoes, and feel sorry that the criminals are taking advantage of him for his naivety and inexperience. We as audience members may feel angered and slightly infuriated by this . Although this scene has been created to express signs of comedy, it is actually very sad that the woman feel like they can accuse Jake of such a thing. This could infer a poor society in which woman feel like it is appropriate to accuse Jake of these claims which could potentially ruin his career and life. It gives us an insight to how police are treated. Jake is just trying to do the just thing, and put things right,  however this is not appreciated by many of the people featured in this scene. As a result we express sympathy for Jake, and the police as a whole in this small section , because it is apparent their  feelings can be disregarded and taunted in moments like these.

Technological convergence means that television is available on television sets, gaming platforms and many types of tech. It means that you are able to stream certain shows or channels on many pieces of tech at a time.

people are able to create brand loyalty because of the slandered of their shows and what they broadcast. If it is intriguing and suspenseful, it is likely that many of the views will keep on watching it. Channels also can create brand loyalty by using advertisements to tell people about these shows, and make sure the audience would be pleased to watch it.

Long form television is where it is designed to ensure that the loyalty remains to this program, as it is a long series of episodes that needs dedication  and loyalty for the viewers to watch it all.

5. What is a 'flagship' programme? [2]

Is a flagship programme is a program directed at a target audience of people. This program has been designed to appeal too this category, and therefore these viewers will be intrigued by the content and therefore remain loyal to the show or series.

6. In exchange for the licence fee, what does the regulator require of the BBC as a Public Service Broadcasting channel? [6]

It requires original programming, a mix of genres, arts and informational programming such as news, prime time and a good standard of program. Shows need to be a appropriate with a wide variety of programs that different people may like, therefore they will stay loyal to the channel.

According to The Times newspaper this week,  watching TV live and in real time accounts for most TV viewing.

2. live content is content broadcasted live, and on demand is content that has already been broadcasted that can be re watched on devices.

4. the demand for live content is fairly strong, this is because people look forward to certain shows at certain times, and people like to watch live shows as a family event.
5. According to ratings research, there are 8 programmes cited as the top live shows for family viewing. How many have you watched? i have watched strictly come dancing, and Britain's got talent, Paddington 2 and the great British bake off.

7. the bumler and katz framework is used here because watching tv expresses social skills, because people are able to socialise and interact with eachother by using  tv. People may also form a relationship with certain characters or contestants during live Tv, and people can feel a togetherness whilst bonding over opinions and interpretations of the show. This is extremely important to maintain over this difficult time, and this corresponds with the blumer and katz framework of 'social interacting' and 'personal relationships'.

In this cover, John Lennon is presented as an important and well respected musician. His portrait takes up most of the page, and it is the first thing readers look at upon picking up the magazine. This portrays his importance, and shows him as an icon people should look up to. John Lennon's serious face represents maturity and seriousness, and this tells the readers that he is well respected, and has an importance that must be understood. There is no vivid splash of colour behind him, meaning that the designer of this magazine is deliberately trying to get us to look at his face and only his face. This contrasts to other musicians, because they usually are pictured to be more lively. This tells us about Lennon's character, and his own individuality and style. 

The lighting makes the magazine look welcoming and not too harsh. This is suitable for older readers who are the main market for mojo magazine, this is because it is easy to understand and not overwhelming to the eyes. The main colours used are simple but effective, such as blues whites and oranges. These are the perfect balance of being vibrant but not blinding. The writing is clear and easy to read, and the splash of colour in the left hand corner really tells us about Lennon, and the type of character he is. Possibly a little about his background and work too.

in conclusion this cover is really effective at telling us who Lennon is as an artist, and portrays his individuality. The fact that he is centred and is the main focus of this cover shows that he's an icon and someone who people greatly look up to.
