What is your impression of the sixties era?
my impression of the 60s was that it was a very colourful, happy and joyful time. Everyone was travelling, partying and experiencing new things. People were having fun and living their best lives. The clothes they wore were extremely funky, and truly represented their life style as a whole. Their clothes were colourful and stood out. No one was afraid to express themselves, and they aimed to dress to draw attention from others. The colours of these clothes would be especially bright, such as neon colours of orange yellow. This era as a whole was a new awakening for people, and people wanted to express their individuality and who they really were. Music was upbeat and fun but also had a deeper meaning.
Where does this come from?
my impression comes from the trailer that we watched, Austin towers. The colourfulness could be seen in the video,. and the joyful and outgoing atmosphere could be seen through it. The people within it looked happy and carefree, and we see in the background references which would make it clear it was the 60s. Their clothing and music taste all reflected the 80s style, and it really gave me an insight on what life would have been like for them. The comedy in the trailer shows us that this was a happy time, and people joked around and bounced off each other.
